TEK17 and other energy-efficiency standards, A energy-efficiency class house

A class energy efficiency

In 2017 Norwegian Husbanken institution enacted requirements for new buildings and houses - TEK17. This is one of the strictest building requirements in the Europe and the whole world. TEK17 standard narrows the gap between passive houses - NS3700 (Norwegian passive house standard) and standard houses.

The main requirements for TEK17 are low U-values of house constructions and air-tightness of the structure.

  • Floor construction U-value - not more than 0,15 W/m2K
  • Outside wall - not more than 0,18 W/m2K
  • Roof - not more than 0,13 W/m2K
  • Windows and doors (with frame) - not more than 0,8 W/m2K

This way Norwegian authorities charge new buildings to be energy-efficient and this way the country is leading in the world according to high standards for buildings.

Our houses at the moment easily reach such energy-efficiency requirements and Ekobustas is always learning and doing its best to keep up our production with the newest standards and highest requirements for buildings.
