Prefabricated wooden houseThe main elements of prefabricated wooden house

The main elements of prefabricated wooden house are built from structural wooden frame that complies with European EN 338 standard and conforms with C16-40 strength classes and 15±3% humidity. Each element of the house is insulated with fire-resistant mineral, wood or other insulation, according to the house specification. The frame is reinforced from both sides with special boards and based upon the agreement with the customer, it can be covered by painted decoration cladding that can be installed already in our factory. Vapour isolation is used in the inside side of the wall, while on the outside special windproof diffusion film is used. It should be noted that structural features of bigger size elements are better: mounting is carried out faster, less timber is consumed, there are less connection joints in the walls, spatial toughness of the house is preserved. The following elements of the house are produced from prefabricated panels: external walls, internal walls, floor spans and roof panels up to the roof cover. Usually, based on the customer requests and demands, Ekobustas delivers sets of prefabricated houses with preinstalled windows, entrance doors, certain roof covering, electricity tubes etc.

Ekobustas uses only certified and world-wide known brands materials from reliable network of suppliers in the production. Clients always receive specifications with detailed information of what type of materials will be used in the production. Once the house production is started - clients are always updated with the pictures from the production, so that they can know how their house is built. Only correctly projected, calculated and assembled prefabricated house will be long-lasting and energy-efficient.

Energy efficiency and air-tightness

Low energy consumption is one of the most important criteria, among all the other good things, that a good house has to have. Ekobustas homes are projected exactly like this - to consume the least amount of energy. Advanced computer engineering software allows us to design your house with the precision of 1 millimeter and during the assembling there are no inconsistencies. Outside windward difussion film and interior vapour isolation are joined and taped only with reliable and long-lasting special tapes and glue. We use only certified and approved special sealing solutions that are resistant to ageing. This is very important because energy audit of the house is performed every 10 years and if there are any air-tightness problems after that period - it will be very hard and expensive to fix them. Our prefabricated house elements comply with Norwegian air-tightness and U-value requirements that are one of the highest and strictest in the world. Air-tightness of the assembled house can also be additionally checked by doing a blower-door test.

Passive houses

House can be called passive house only when the energy consumption is up to 15 kWh/m2, however to build such house is expensive and the payback period can be rather long. Low-energy house consumes around 30-50 kWh/m2 but the payback period can also be long because the price of the project is still quite big. The reason why is that there is a need for additional investment to constructions of the elements, windows, openings, heating and ventilation systems etc. At the moment, our suggestion is to build A energy efficiency class house that consumes around 70-100 kWh/m2 of energy and it is optimal cost and benefit solution for everyone.

It is worth to mention that energy efficiency of the house depends not only on the chosen construction but also on the architectural solutions: planning, windows size, orientation of the building. Therefore, it is equally important that the architect perfectly understands the requirements for the energy-efficient houses.

Additional installations in the elements

Heating pipes, communication lines (low current – alarm systems, internet and television), water supply and waste water systems can be preinstalled in the elements if the client provides house communications plan. There is also a possibility for us to preinstall plastic tubes for electricity cables in the elements. Later on, after installation of the plastic tubes, the local electrician can easily route the cables without any special equipment. All prefabricated elements are always designed and constructed having in mind to comply with above mentioned systems and connections and also in a way to be easily installed by us or by the local skilled and authorized personnel.

Our goal is to build houses that are fully in line with our clients' expectations and consume the least possible amount of energy.
